Variant of the cylindrical die in which the working bore receives ribs (longitudinal grooves) that are imprinted on the body or on the region under the fastener head. These ribs serve technical functions: anti-rotation locking when the screw is driven into plastic or sheet metal, increased grip area and improved seating. It is common in screws for fastening into polymers, terminals and parts that must not rotate once assembled.
The ribbed profile is machined by wire/sinker EDM on the carbide insert, with geometry and pitch defined in the drawing. KS produces the die according to the intended function (no. of ribs, depth, length) and replaces the tooling preserving the same rib pattern of the original part.
