Core (central pin) that forms the hole or internal cylindrical housing of the part during forming.

Technical reference image. The quote takes into account your exact standard, size and drawing.
The cylindrical core is the central pin that occupies the axis of the die and forms the hole/internal housing of the part — the hollow of nuts, bushings, tubular rivets and hollow components. It defines the internal diameter, the concentricity relative to the body and the finish of the hole wall, dimensions that determine the later fit of the part.
Ground and polished in treated tool steel or carbide, sized to resist bending under the radial pressure of forming. KS supplies the core in the hole size and replaces the tooling preserving the original fit and concentricity.
