Dodecagonal-profile (12-point) pin/mandrel to form high-torque multi-point sockets in the fastener head.

Technical reference image. The quote takes into account your exact standard, size and drawing.
The dodecagonal pin has a twelve-point profile (12-point / double-hex) and is used to form the multi-point socket in the fastener head — the drive that distributes torque across twelve contacts, allowing high tightening with lower risk of stripping. It is the standard for high-strength screws used in engines, chassis and critical aeronautical/automotive applications.
Because it works under extreme pressure at the twelve edges, it is made of carbide or high-alloy tool steel, with ground/EDM profile and relief angles calculated for long life. KS produces the pin in the socket size and replaces the wear tooling according to the fastener drawing.
