Insert with knurling that imprints the serration (knurl) on the fastener surface — grip and locking.

Technical reference image. The quote takes into account your exact standard, size and drawing.
The knurled insert is the working insert that engraves the knurling on the surface of the part — that pattern of crossed or straight ridges that improves manual grip, locking by embedding and adhesion. It appears in hand-tightened screws, knobs, knurled bushings for plastic and components that need to 'bite' the contact surface.
The knurl pattern (pitch, angle, diagonal or straight) is cut on carbide by EDM/precision machining and the insert is mounted in the tooling. KS produces to the desired pattern and replaces the insert, which wears at the crest of the teeth over the course of production.
