Case that houses and reinforces the second-station punch, giving the head its final finish.

Technical reference image. The quote takes into account your exact standard, size and drawing.
The 2nd punch case is the body/housing that surrounds and supports the carbide insert of the second upsetting station. It works like a case: it absorbs the radial forces of the blow, keeps the insert under pre-stress (hoop effect) and prevents fracture of the carbide, which is extremely hard but brittle in tension. The second station is what gives the head its final profile — pan, flat, hex, flanged — on the preform coming from the 1st stage.
The case + insert assembly is machined with a controlled interference fit and precision concentricity, because any misalignment translates into a crooked head or flash. KS replaces cases and complete assemblies according to the tooling of your cold former, preserving dimensional compatibility with the rest of the set.
