The nut tap is the tool that cuts the internal thread of nuts in high-speed automatic tapping machines. Unlike the hand tap, it is designed for serial production: entry geometry, chip exit channels and coating optimized to tap thousands of nuts per hour with dimensional stability of the thread (class 6H and equivalents).
Made of high-speed steel (HSS/HSS-E) with surface treatments (TiN, TiCN) according to the nut material, which extends life and reduces cutting force. KS supplies taps in metric and inch threads per DIN/ISO/ANSI and maintains replenishment so as not to stop the tapping machine.
